Dr.George Silva, MD
Dr. George J. Silva has been a family practitioner in Mashpee since 1984. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Silva received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, and his MD degree from Tufts University Medical School in Boston . He completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Connecticut . Dr. Silva is the Health Consultant for the Town of Mashpee.

Muhammad U. Qadir, MD
Dr. Muhammad U. Qadir joined Mashpee Family Medicine in November 2009 after completing his residency at Synergy Medical Education Alliance in Michigan. Dr. Qadir was originally born in Boston, Massachusetts and then spent his school age years in Pakistan. He received his MD degree from Army Medical College in Rawalpindi, Pakistan and his pre-medical degree from PAF Inter College in Islamabad, Pakistan. Dr. Qadir has also served as a Clinical Instructor at Michigan State University in Saginaw, Michigan. It is a pleasure to welcome him to the Cape Cod medical community as a new Primary Care Physician.
Walter M. Richter, MD
Walter M. Richter, MD rejoins Mashpee Family Medicine after a five year sojourn with the Indian Health Services at Fort Belhap, Montana. He continues to staff the Emergency Department at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, Massachusetts and has been an active Emergency Room Physician for twenty-two years. Dr. Richter resides mostly on Cape Cod with his two children.
Joan A. Peters-Gilmartin, PA-C, MHP
Joan A. Peters-Gilmartin, PA-C, MHP opened Mashpee Family Medicine with Dr. George Silva in 1984 as a Clinical Supervisor/Business Manager. Her career evolved and she completed the Physician Assistant and Master of Health Professions at Northeastern University. Joan is AHA/ACLS Certified and a previous President of MAPA. She has also been employed by Yarmouth Medical Associates and most recently Outer Cape Health Care Services.
